Introduction

No one wants to be injured on the job. Without safety in the workplace, injuries will occur more often. A safe workplace reduces the possibility of financial loss and bodily injury.

Billions of dollars are lost each year due to work related deaths or injuries. Remember, no matter how small the injury, the injured could cost their business either loss in wages, production, or insurance/medical expenses.

It is the responsibility of both the employer and the employee to have an active role in safety in the workplace. The employer's job is to provide a safe working environment, and the employees' job is to prevent injury in the workplace.
