Central Question: Why did the United States enter World War I and how did the entry effect the outcome of the war?

Listen to the song "Over There" while you complete the Explore Activity. "Over There" was written in 1917 in support of American troops entering World War I. The phrase "The Yanks are Coming" was derived from this song.

  • Evaluate the reasons for U.S. entry into World War I.
  • Examine the new weaponry and technology that was introduced during World War I.
  • Identify the impacts of U.S. involvement in World War I.
