The issue of imperialism divided the nation during the late 1800s. Both supporters and opponents were vocal with their opinions and portrayed their respective positions in speeches, editorials, and political cartoons.

Your task for this assessment is to use information from the lesson to create two political cartoons- one in favor of imperialism and one against imperialism. For each comic:

1) Create your cartoon idea. Your cartoon should clearly communicate a perspective on one of the topics and include a title or caption that helps to explain the message of the cartoon.

2) Use StoryboardThat to help you create your final product.

3) Build your political cartoon.

4) Take a screenshot of your cartoon and save it to your computer.

5) Submit both cartoons to 3.01 Political Cartoon Dropbox. Remember that you should submit two cartoons: one that displays a pro-imperialism viewpoint and one that displays an anti-imperialism viewpoint.
