In this lesson, you learned about the perspectives of white men, women, free and enslaved African Americans, and Native Americans during the American Revolution. You also learned how each group contributed to the war effort, as well as their feelings about the outcome of the war.

Based on this information, select one group and write a post in which you analyze the perspectives of that group on the American Revolution and its outcome. You may choose the group that reflects your own demographic. However, you do not have to select your same demographic. (For example, if you are an African American female, you could analyze either the perspective of women or free/enslaved African Americans during the American Revolution. Or, you may choose another group.)

In a post in the 2.07 Comparing Perspectives Discussion, write a response that addresses the following questions:

1. Why did this group participate in the American Revolution?
2. What were their possible reasons or motives for participating in the Revolution?
3. How was this group involved in the American Revolution (in other words, what "job" did they do?)
4. Did this group ultimately get what they wanted from the Revolution? Why or why not?

In this post:

• List the group you are analyzing in the title of your post.
• Write at least one full paragraph (at least 3-4 complete sentences).

Your posting should include the perspective of your identified group from the ones listed above and should address the questions above as completely as possible. You may use information from the lesson or from other sources in your response.

After you have made your initial post, read all of your classmates' responses. You are not required to respond to any of your peers. However, you should read over everyone's post, as you will use their responses to complete the next assignment.
