Step Eight:
Complete 2.03 Magazine Advertisements Group Discussion. Work together as a group to decide which key event or colony from the list below your group will create ads for. Each group member must select one event or colony. The Discussion Leader should help ensure that everyone selects a different item.

Advertise the Middle and Southern colonies to encourage more settlers to move to the colony. (What do they have to offer or why would someone move there?)
• New York
• New Jersey
• Delaware
• Pennsylvania and the Quakers
• Maryland
• Georgia
• The Carolinas
Advertise the event to encourage people to attend:
• Great Awakening and Jonathan Edwards
• Indentured Servant (paid voyage to the Americas)
• George Whitfield Revival
• Enlightenment

Step Nine:
Now that you have selected a key figure, complete your third individual role assignment. Download your role task below and submit the completed work to 2.03 Project Work Dropbox.

Step Ten:
Create a magazine advertisement for the colony or event you selected. Information and images for the ad may be found within the lesson or from outside research. If you include information or images from outside sources be sure to include the correct MLA citation information. All information on the ad should be written in your own words and phrases.

Your advertisement must include the following:

1) A creative title

2) A picture or pictures

3) 5-6 sentences that describes the figure's role in Colonial America

Create your ad in a Word document or PowerPoint slide and submit it to 2.03 Magazine Ad Dropbox.
