Introduction

Men and women worldwide have very different opportunities and life chances. However, what caused these drastic differences? Why are women treated so differently around the world?

This lesson gives you an overview of where these gender disparities experienced by women developed.

 

Following successful completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Describe social inequalities as related to gender.
  • Explain why gender inequalities exist.
