Introduction

In previous classes as well as this one, we have studied several types of equations. The equations that could be graphed in the rectangular coordinate system are said to be in Cartesian (rectangular) form. We looked at polar equations in the previous lessons through graphing. These are called equations in polar (trig) form. Now we will look at changing them from one form to the other.

At the end of this lesson, student will be able to:

  • Convert Equations from Cartesian form to Polar Form
  • Convert Equations from Polar Form to Cartesian Form.
