Introduction

This unit will detail the Alabama Physical Fitness Assessment that all students in Alabama have to take. This unit will also address how to set personal goals based on the results of the fitness test.

You will practice all four components of the Alabama Physical Fitness Assessment to get a baseline score. You will perform these tests again near the end of the course after completing individual training to see how you improved. The final test scores at the end of the course will be reported as your Alabama Physical Fitness Assessment scores for the year.

In this lesson, you will complete a practice aerobic endurance test.

  • Perform a workout for 45 continuous minutes, using proper warm-up and cooldown activities.
  • Workout with activities such a warm-up and cooldown activities.
  • Participate in physical activity daily, using correct stretching techniques.
  • Identify the current and target performance levels on the Alabama Physical Fitness Assessment.
  • Practice and set proper fitness goals to achieve and maintain fitness levels.
