Introduction
If you wanted to sell tobacco products, how would you make the most money possible? What group of people would you target in advertising?
Nicotine is extremely addictive. The earlier in life someone becomes addicted, the longer they will buy tobacco products and the more money you will make because of what they purchase throughout their life.
If you want to sell a lot, you want customers to crave your product and buy it for as many years as possible. Your ideal customer is young, so advertising will be designed to appeal to young people. Tobacco companies have also been accused of targeting young people by adding appealing flavors to tobacco products.
