Task
Throughout this unit, you and a group of your classmates will work together to create a Courts PowerPoint Presentation. The presentation will include information from your research about the landmark cases, Chief Justice, and judicial philosophy of your group's assigned court. The final product will be due at the end of the unit, but each lesson requires certain steps toward the completion of the presentation. Information for the presentation may be found within the lesson or from outside research. If you include information from outside sources, be sure to include the correct MLA citation information. All information in the presentation should be written in your own words and phrases. See Unit 6 Courts Project for a complete description of the project. Group Project Step #1 After your teacher creates groups with assigned courts, go to 6.01 Project Topic Discussion. The first person for each group to post will start a thread for their group with the group name as the Subject. Participate in this thread by replying to the original post for your group. Introduce yourself to your group members (include your name, school, and grade). Decide as a group who should take on each topic for research and role below.
Note: everyone in the group will be researching a topic and completing information for two to three slides on your topic. The roles below are additional work responsibilities:
Group Project Step #2 Now that you have selected a topic to research and introduced yourself to your group members, you should complete 6.01 Project Topic and Role Selection. When you finish the task, submit it to 6.01 Project Topic Dropbox. Use the information in the lesson and the resources below to complete 6.01 The Judicial Branch.
When you finish the task, submit it to 6.01 The Judicial Branch Dropbox. |
