Introduction

Willkommen to Unit 3! Hopefully you are starting to feel confident in your German pronunciation and beginning to add to your German vocabulary. This unit - Die Zeit - is about practical things, such as calendars, numbers, and daily activities. It also introduces some very important grammatical rules about pronouns and verbs. In this lesson, you are going to examine the German Kalendercalendar and learn about the different parts of a calendar. Look at the calendar below: what do you notice about it? What seems similar or different from the calendar you use? Are you able to identify the days of the week?

 

Following successful completion of this lesson, students will be able to: Recite the days of the week in German. The above objectives correspond with the following Alabama Course of Study: Modern Languages Level I Objectives: 7.2 & 8.
