Do you remember the verb sein, "to be"? It is especially important when describing people or things. Examine the chart below and make sure that you have memorized all of the correct conjugations for the verb.

Now look at these sentences and think about their meaning:

Der Mann ist klein und dick. Du bist groß und schlank. Wir sind intelligent. Ich bin blond. Sind Sie braunhaarig? Ihr seid stark. Es ist dumm. Paula und Marie sind schön.The man is short and fat. You are tall and slender. We are intelligent. I am blonde. Are you brown-haired? Y'all are strong. It is dumb. Paula and Marie are pretty.
