Introduction

After you learn where someone is from, you might want to know where they live. As usual, there are two ways to ask this question - the formal way and the informal way.

Wo wohnen Sie? - the formal way to ask "Where do you live?"

Wo wohnst du? - the informal way to ask "Where do you live?"

In this lesson, you will practice asking someone where he or she is from and learn the appropriate responses.

 

Following successful completion of this lesson, students will be able to: Ask someone where he or she lives. Respond appropriately if asked where someone lives. The above objectives correspond with the following Alabama Course of Study: Modern Languages Level I Objectives: 1.1, 5 & 11.
