Task #1
You are a town planner. It is your objective to produce a map of a town satisfying several requirements.
- Your town will have five streets. Three will be parallel to one another. They will be intersected by two streets that are parallel transversals.
- You will add two stop lights wherever you want and name their relationship (Vertical, corresponding, linear pair... etc).
- You will place the town name and population in the text description.
- The buildings that must be in your town are:
- House
- Grocery store
- Gas station
- Shopping center
- Church
- Town hall
- Post office
- Park
- Restaurant
- School
- Barber shop
Specifics
Here are some important specifications for your town project:
- The House and Grocery Store are alternate interior angles.
- The Gas Station and Shopping Center are alternate exterior angles.
- The Church and Town Hall form a linear pair.
- The Post Office and Park are corresponding angles.
- The Restaurant and School are vertical angles.

The Barber shop and the park are same-side exterior angles.
Submit
- You will build your town using the GeoGebra: ACCESS - Geometry Town Project.
- Once you are finished designing your town, take a screenshot of your town and insert it in a Word document.
- Make sure your name is on the document.
- Include the town name and population in the text description.
- Include the relationship of the the two stop lights you place in the town. Are they alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, a linear pair, corresponding angles, or vertical angles?
- You will be graded using the 5.05 My Town Rubric.
- Submit your completed 5.05 My Town assignment.
