The Regions of France Project (a collaborative project)

In this unit, you will work with a group of your classmates to create a presentation about the regions of France. The presentation will include information from your own research. The project is due at the end of this unit.

See The Regions of France Collaborative Project for a complete description of the project.

You will use information from the course and from the World Wide Web to build the presentation. If you include information from outside sources (and you will), you will use Modern Language Association (MLA) format to cite your sources. All information in the presentation should be written in your own words and phrases.

See MLA Citations - Instructions for information about how to properly use MLA citations in your work.

Collaborative Project - Step #1

Part 1:

Your teacher will place you in a group. After your teacher places you in a group, go to 8.01 Project Role Discussion and introduce yourself to the other group members (include your name, school, and grade in your introductory paragraph). After your introductory paragraph, include the following information in your post:

  1. Tell the group members which role you would like to play in the project (see The Regions of France Collaborative Project for a complete description of the available roles).
  2. Explain why you are interested in that role.
  3. Explain how you would do a good job in that role.

Part 2:

After all group members have made an introduction, the entire group will work together to assign each group member a project role. Once all group members have been assigned a role, the member who was assigned the role of Editor will make a separate post that shows the names of all group members and which role each member will play in the project.

Your grade for this task will be determined based on the quality of the comments you make in the discussion.
