Introduction

You have learned to say many things in the present tense. You can describe yourself. You can talk about what you are studying in class, and you can describe the supplies you need to complete your assignments. What about after class? What are you going to do when the bell rings? Are you going to talk to your friends? Are you going to stop at your locker? In this lesson, you will learn to talk about things you are going to do in the near future, which is known as le futur proche. You will also learn to talk about things you did in the recent past, which is known as le passé récent. In order to form le passé récent, you will learn the irregular verb venir.
