Introduction

What is the name of your favorite restaurant? Do you like the drive thru, dine in, or carry out? Have you used a delivery service or app to get your food delivered to your home or curbside? Each of these modes of service gets you the food that you enjoy to eat with your convenience in mind.

Like a restaurant that offers lots of different ways to get its products to the public, the United States Department of Agriculture has many ways it serves the public. The United States Department of Agriculture is a federal agency which is commonly known as the USDA. This federal agency has various modes they use to serve the public. One of the ways they serve you is through the Forest Service.

The USDA Forest Service is responsible for managing over 193 million acres of forest land and grass land in the United States which is approximately the size of Texas. The motto of the Forestry Service is “Caring for the land and serving people.” This Federal Agency was established in 1905 and continues to serve the American people.
