Introduction

Have you ever thought about how your home is heated and cooled? Or how about how your cell phone gets charged or how you get to school?

Fossil fuels have an impact on accomplishing all of these tasks whether directly or indirectly. Most of the electricity that we use comes from energy stored in fossil fuels. The gas and oil that we put in our cars are from fossil fuels. The heat that we use to cook and heat our homes come from electricity that is generated by burning fossil fuels, such as methanea natural gas. Without fossil fuels many of our daily living tasks would not be as luxurious.
