Radioactive Waste

The disposal of some waste is hazardous and should not be dumped in the nearest landfill. In fact, it is not only hazardous but is radioactive. Radioactive waste comes from mines, building materials such as rock or stone, and nuclear power plants. Nuclear waste is very difficult to store and there is always the possibility of leakage into the ground around it or even into our water.
