Introduction

“Something Wicked This Way Comes”

As the play nears the end, we once again meet the witches as they continue to tell Macbeth half-truths that will lead to his destruction. As you get ready to read Act IV, think about cartoons you've seen with witches dancing around a cauldron, throwing things in the pot, and saying "Double, double, toil and trouble." Do you remember them? If so, you got a preview of the first scene in Act IV!
