Putting the Pieces Together

As you begin your research assignment, keep in mind what you have learned about identifying faulty logic.  What you have learned in this lesson will help you insure that your paper is a legitimate document full of valid information.

Tasks

Answer the following questions.

After reading and studying the links in this lesson, choose five different types of faulty logic to write on your own. (Alas, this is not to encourage you to practice this type of logic in your regular assignments, but, rather, to avoid it.)

Now, follow the model used at Cuesta College.

  • First, write one or two sentences as an example of a type of faulty logic.
  • Second, identify the type of faulty logic.
  • And third, explain how your example qualifies as this type.

Submit your work to the 10.02 Faulty Logic Dropbox.
