Book Club Collaborative Project

As you begin your research, you should consider your audience, who are your peers, and decide what genre would be most effective in communicating your message to them. Remember, this research isn’t an ordinary paper. You are discovering information about your topic (your theme) and SHOWING your audience the information that you found in a way that is more appealing than a three page paper.

You will begin with a broad topic such as teen violence. Then you will narrow that topic to a specific subject such as S.E. Hinton’s novel The Outsiders has a lot of teen violence in it. Then you will focus that topic into a special interest for your paper such as Teen violence can be traced to a lack of parenting and adult mentoring for boys.
