Introduction

Do you ever feel like "All I know is that I know nothing"? Or, have you ever had "love to hurt so good"? How about "you need to lose yourself to find yourself"? These are called paradoxes, or contradictions that are seemingly true. Look at the paradoxical image below.

The number can be a six or a nine depending on what angle you are looking. So, the picture may look contradictory on first glance, but it is seemingly true.

Writers incorporate paradox into their writing to add a deeper meaning to their work.
