Task #1
Create a presentation about the factors of production for the 1.02 Factors of Production Presentation assignment.
The presentation should contain the following:
- A title slide that includes your title and your name.
- A slide each for land, labor, and capital. Each slide should contain:
- a definition of that particular factor and
- three (3) cited images of examples of that factor of production.
- A slide for entrepreneurs. It should include:
- a definition of entrepreneur and
- images of at least two (2) well know entrepreneurs.
- A slide about a well-known company. It should contain:
- the name of the company and
- cited images of the factors of production of that company.
- For example, a slide could be for Microsoft and have pictures of:
- copper (the natural resource for creating computer components),
- file server computers (capital),
- programmers (labor), and
- Bill Gates (entrepreneur).
Use the Adding Images - Instructions for help finding, using, and citing images (following the MLA style guide) for your presentation.
After you have proofread your work for grammar and spelling errors, submit the presentation to the 1.02 Factors of Production Presentation Dropbox.
You will be graded according to the 1.02 Factors of Production Presentation Rubric.
Task #2
Now that you understand what the factors of production are and what they mean to a country, it is important to realize that not all countries are created equal. For the 1.02 Comparing Resources task, you will compare the resources of three very different countries:
- The United States,
- Bangladesh, and
- a country of your choosing.
Use the CIA World Factbook to gather the data needed to complete this task. Enter the data into the table in the task document.
The one item you might not be familiar with is GDP per capita. This is a concept that you will learn later in this course. For now just know that the higher the GDP per capita, the better the standard of living for the country.
After you have proofread your work for grammar and spelling errors, submit the task to the 1.02 Comparing Resources Dropbox.
