Task

Use your school's presentation software to create a presentation about the factors of production.

The presentation should contain the following:

  1. A title slide that includes your title and your name.
  2. A slide each for land, labor and capital. Each slide should contain a definition of that particular factor and three cited images of examples of that factor of production.
  3. A slide for entrepreneurs with a definition of entrepreneur and images of at least two well know entrepreneurs.
  4. A slide with the name as well as cited images of the factors of production of a well-known company. For example, a slide could be for Microsoft and have pictures of copper (the natural resource for creating computer components), file server computers (capital), programmers (labor) and Bill Gates (entrepreneur).

After you have proofread your work for grammar and spelling errors, submit the presentation to the 1.02 Factors of Production Presentation Dropbox.

Now that you understand what the factors of production are and what they mean to a country, it is important to realize that not all countries are created equal. In this task, you will compare the resouces of three very different countries: Mexico, Afghanistan and the United States.

Use the CIA World Factbook to gather the data needed to complete this task. Plug the data into the table in 1.02 Comparing Resources (you will submit this document to the dropbox).

Note: The one item you might not be familiar with is GDP per capita. This is a concept that you will learn later in this course. For now just now that the higher the GDP per capita, the better the standard of living for the country.

After you have proofread your work for grammar and spelling errors, submit the task to the 1.02 Comparing Resources Dropbox.
