Summary and Tasks
Your task is to create two original poems. The first poem should use a consecutive line rhyme scheme much like the first example titled "We Don't Know Why" and the second poem will use an alternating rhyme scheme like the one in the poem titled "I Miss You."
You are encouraged to create poems that are inspired by the history, sights, sounds and smells that are present at Fisherman's Wharf. Go back to the Fisherman's Wharf website and view some of the historic photographs of the area. Let yourself go back in time to the bustling center of the city by the bay.
Make sure you give your two poems titles, and you may include a photograph or clip art as a way of illustrating your work.
To be sure you have your rhyme schemes correct, it is suggested that you read your poem out loud so that you can hear the rhyme scheme in a very real and vivid way.
When you are finished, submit your two poems to the 5.01 Poetic Devices Dropbox.
