Task 1
Watch each video below, paying attention to the way the dancers use time in each dance. Open 4.05 Observing Time and answer the questions pertaining to the videos about how the two different groups of dancers use the element of time in their dances and how they incorporate clock-sensed time and event-sequence. Submit your completed work to the 4.05 Observing Time Dropbox.
- Dance of the Snowflakes (2:02)
- Swan Lake (1:36)

Task 2
Open 4.05 Movements in Time. You will complete a movement exploration that focuses on the use of time. Then, reflect on what you did by answering questions about the movement exercises.
When you finish, submit your work to the 4.05 Movements in Time Dropbox.

Task 3
Go to the 4.05 Reflection on Time Discussion and write a short paragraph reflection about your experiment with the dance element of time. Specifically, think back to the exercise you did when you jumped and froze to a certain rhythm and answer the following questions:
- What was the most difficult part of this exploration? What was the easiest part?
- Did this exploration help you to understand more about time and how it applies to dance?
After your initial post, comment on two other classmates posts and discuss whether you agree or disagree with their responses. Be sure to explain your reasoning.
