Psychology : History...Methods of Study : Introduction

intro

Have you ever watched a person and wondered why they did what they did?  Or how often have you wondered why you have behaved in a certain way?

People watching and behavior observing are fun activities that we have all spent time engaged in. People have been and are, to this day, interested in the answers to the “why” questions of behavior. Psychology is the organized study of behavior and the mental processes that occur with it. Thousands of psychologists in many different areas are studying psychology, the science of behavior and the mental processes behind it.

Discussion Discussion 1-1:  Post a discussion thread and respond to another student’s posting. Introduce yourself and pose the questions about psychology that interest you the most.  Make sure to tell us several things about yourself as in what school you attend, what year you are in school and things that you are involved in and interested in. So get ready to learn about yourself and others and begin to explore the answers to the “why” questions of psychology.  It will be a fascinating journey because it is about US. You will earn 10 points for this assignment, 5 points for your posting and 5 points for responding to another student.
