Alex provides Digital Learning Month a Resource-A-Day Calendar

Ms. Sherrill Parris, Deputy Superintendent, introduces teachers to the new College- and Career-Readiness Initiative website. The Common Core State Standards Initiative is a state-led effort coordinated by the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers.  The standards were developed in collaboration with teachers, school administrators, state officials, and other experts to provide a clear and consistent framework to prepare students for college and the workforce.

DLDTHM.pngThe Alliance for Excellent Education hosted a live National Town Hall on February 1, featuring FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan in a special joint appearance. The event profiled great teachers that effectively use technology to deliver instruction, and focused on education innovation projects happening across the country. Archived video of the event is now available.
