Dear AP Teacher,



Happy New Year! This is a reminder that applications are open for 2018 AP® Summer Institute Scholarships. These scholarships cover some or all of the cost of attending an AP Summer Institute (APSI). APSIs offer weeklong intensive professional development programs at which educators can network with peers and learn about tools and resources that inspire success in their Advanced Placement® classrooms.

This year the College Board is offering the four competitive scholarship programs listed below. You may meet the criteria for at least one of the following opportunities:

AP Fellows: Provides scholarships of $1,000 to AP teachers at schools serving underrepresented and/or low-income students.

AP Rural Fellows: Provides scholarships of $1,500 to AP teachers at rural schools serving low-income students.

AP Redesign: Available to AP teachers who are teaching the redesigned AP U.S. Government and Politics in the 2018-19 academic year at schools meeting specific criteria.

AP Capstone™: Provides scholarships covering full tuition for AP Capstone professional development to AP Capstone teachers at schools meeting specific criteria.
