We’ve Moved Across Campus

The UA Support Center offices have moved from Martha Parham West to Russell Hall.  The street address is 504 University Blvd.  This is on the corner of Hackberry and University, one block east of the Quad.  Our mailing address, phone numbers, and emails are still the same.  We are on the 2nd floor and happy to have more space available to us.

The University of Alabama is proud to be the home of an ACCESS Distance Learning Support Center, with primary responsibilities for a 22 county region stretching across the entire width of central Alabama.  Our center, housed within the Academic Outreach Department of the College of Continuing Studies and UA, seeks to provide support to schools offering ACCESS Distance Learning in both interactive videoconferencing (IVC) and web-based online course formats.

Our major responsibilites in this effort include:

  • Providing professional development for educators involved in ACCESS Distance Learning
  • Hiring and management of distance learning teachers
  • Assisting in the enrollment of students in ACCESS classes 
  • Monitoring and evaluation of instruction delivered through ACCESS
  • Providing a help desk for technical support needed in distance learning delivery
  • Developing a blended delivery system, encompassing both IVC and online components.
