Alabama Learning Exchange (ALEX)
ALEX is the free, state educational Web portal designed to provide the best, high-quality resources and one-stop shopping for Alabama’s teachers, principals, parents, and students. Over 38,000 Web-based interactives, podcasts, and panel-reviewed Alabama Teacher lesson plans linked to Alabama’s official Courses of Study are available for all teachers to use in their classrooms immediately. This award-winning Web portal (2007 and 2008 “Best of the Web”) contains a wealth of additional resources to enhance learning in every content area—all digital, all online, all completely Alabama’s. Alabama Virtual Library
The Alabama Virtual Library provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with online access to essential library and information resources. It is primarily a group of online databases that have magazine, journal, and newspaper articles for research. Through the AVL, an equitable core of information sources are available to every student and citizen in Alabama, raising the level of excellence in schools and communities across the state.

Graphmatica Information
Graphmatica is a powerful, easy-to-use, equation plotter with numerical and calculus features:
- Graph Cartesian functions, relations, and inequalities, plus polar, parametric, and ordinary differential equations
- Up to 999 graphs on screen at once
- New data plotting and curve-fitting features
- Numerically solve and graphically display tangent lines and integrals
- Find critical points, solutions to equations, and intersections between Cartesian functions
- Print your graphs or copy to clipboard as bitmap or enhanced metafile in black-and-white or color
- Online help and demo files make getting up to speed a snap
HippoCampus
HippoCampus is a FREE project of the Monterey Institute for Technology and Education (MITE). The goal of HippoCampus is to provide high-quality, multimedia content on general education subjects to high school and college students free of charge. No log-in needed for teachers or students.
Allows teachers to:
- Browse available courses (Readings, Assignments, and Assessments)
- Search for multimedia content
- Create custom HippoCampus site by selected topics, textbook lists, bookmarks, and announcements
- Customize Version for Students
