Outside Evaluator
is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with members and affiliates throughout the
U.S. and in other countries. ISTE has many years of experience successfully managing and
participating in complex contracts and collaborations with the private and public concerns,
including the U.S. Department of Education, state and regional agencies, and school districts
of all sizes. In addition to its research and evaluation activities, ISTE leads the National
Educational Technology Standards project, hosts the National Educational Computing
Conferences, publishes a large list of professional books and training materials related to
educational technology, offers training to schools and districts through its Professional
Development Services, and provides a variety of member services, including publishing
Learning & Leading With Technology, the Journal of Research on Technology in Education,
and special interest journals for educators. It is a fiscally sound entity with closely monitored
financial tracking systems and a history of successful annual audits for the past five years,
with no reportable conditions.
